Internationals - Son, Eriksen, Sanchez and Skipp in action

Tue 15 October 2019, 23:05|Tottenham Hotspur

The international action involving our players concluded on Tuesday with Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen, Davinson Sanchez and Oliver Skipp all picking up game time.

The day began with Son leading South Korea into action away to North Korea in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Son played the full 90 minutes as the game ended goalless in Pyongyang.

In friendly action in the evening, Christian played the first half as Denmark cruised to a 4-0 home victory over Luxembourg but there was disappointment for centre-half Davinson, who played all 90 minutes of Colombia’s 3-0 defeat to Algeria in France.

Qualifying for the European Under-21 Championships saw ‘Skippy’ come on for his second England Under-21s cap in the 74th minute of a comfortable 5-1 victory over Austria in Milton Keynes.

On-loan Jack Roles, meanwhile, was an unused substitute for Cyprus Under-21s in their 1-1 home draw with Belarus.

Our players will now report back to Hotspur Way to join the rest of the squad as preparations begin for our return to Premier League action at home to Watford on Saturday (3pm).
