Internationals - Belgians win again, Davies helps Wales draw

Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen both played 90 minutes as already-qualified Belgium kept up their 100 per cent record in the campaign to reach Euro 2020 on Sunday.
This time it was Kazakhstan who were beaten 2-0 in Astana, putting the Red Devils on a whopping 24 points after eight games at the top of qualifying Group I.
It was a day to forget for on-loan winger Anthony Georgiou in the same pool, however. He watched on as an unused substitute as 10-man Cyprus crashed to a 5-0 home defeat to Russia.
In Group E, Ben Davies played 90 minutes at left-back and supplied the assist for ex-Spur Gareth Bale’s equaliser as Wales drew 1-1 with Croatia in Cardiff. The result leaves Wales fourth in the standings, but they can still qualify for next year’s finals with two games yet to be played.
A handful of players were in friendly action for their countries elsewhere on Sunday. Juan Foyth started and completed 77 minutes at right-back as Argentina thrashed Ecuador 6-1 in Elche, Spain, while Serge Aurier was ever-present for Ivory Coast in their 3-1 win over DR Congo in Amiens, France. There were no such fortunes for Victor Wanyama, though, as his Kenya side slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Mozambique in Nairobi, despite a full shift from Victor as captain.
Meanwhile, Academy youngster Maximus Tainio marked his return to action for Finland Under-19s in a 3-0 home defeat to Sweden. Maxi came on as a substitute mid-way through the second half, having been sidelined through injury since January.
