Congratulations to our Grounds Maintenance team, who have been named SGL Professional Football Grounds Team of the Year by the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG).
Our team were nominated alongside Croke Park, Dublin and Leicester City and were presented the award - highlighting 'the very best in sports turf management at an elite football club' - at the IOG annual awards night at The Vox, Birmingham NEC, on Wednesday evening.
It's the fourth time in the last eight years our team have claimed this prestigious award - further recognition of their work following Gold awards from the London Gardens Society (The Richard Niazi Memorial Trophy) and Enfield In Bloom (Best Business Premises).
Darren Baldwin, the Club's Head of Playing Surfaces & Estates, said: "I'm so proud of what our team has achieved across the board. The standards at training centres and stadia throughout the UK continues to improve year in year out and the dedication and desire to continuously raise the bar is testament to the quality within our team.
"We are honoured that all the hard work has been recognised with such a prestigious industry award as the SGL Professional Football Grounds Team of the Year."
