Level Playing Field Weeks of Action - celebrating 'Access for All'

Thu 28 February 2019, 16:22|Tottenham Hotspur

Over the course of the next month we are supporting Level Playing Field (LPF) Weeks of Action, which this year takes place from 2-17 March. This annual initiative aims to celebrate access and inclusion for disabled sports fans across England and Wales.

LPF is a campaigning and advisory organisation working on behalf of all disabled supporters to share good practice, raise awareness and promote improved access to sports stadia for disabled fans who aspire to attend live sporting events.

With equality and inclusion at the forefront of everything we do as a Club, this Week of Action provides an opportunity to highlight the on-going work we do to support our disabled fans and those living with disabilities in the local community.

The Club continues to work closely with Spurs Ability, our Official Supporters’ Club which represents and promotes the views of disabled fans, to ensure disabled fans have a positive experience at home and away matches.

Our new stadium is fully compliant with the Accessible Stadia Guide and exceeds standards in many areas. The stadium has accessible seating and wheelchair spaces in all stands, including our single tier South Stand. We have the flexibility within our designs to provide seating that enables wheelchair users to sit together with their families at various locations around the ground, subject to availability.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, the Club’s charitable arm, runs a range of programmes that are designed to help people with physical and learning disabilities living in North London gain regular access to sport and physical activity.
