Heung-Min Son: "I always try my best for the fans"

Heung-Min Son has spoken about the connection he feels with the Spurs faithful.

Over 70,000 fans watched the South Korean star and the team shine again last time out against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

In one of the great recent European nights, Sonny, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente secured a 3-0 win against the Bundesliga leaders in the Champions League Round of 16, first leg. The return is in Germany on Tuesday 5 March.

Now on 16 goals for the season, Sonny has found the net in our last four games, all crucial wins against Watford, Newcastle, Leicester and BVB.

“Our fans support us with heart,” said Sonny. “I respect them and I support them as well.

“Even when I don’t play well, I try to pay them back as much as possible, try to work as hard as possible, this is most important.

“It’s about winning and losing, but we have to show people respect as well. This is what I try to do. I don’t know if I’m always doing well, but I always try my best, especially for the people around me and the fans as well.”
