Club launches Portuguese-language social media channels

We have today launched new Portuguese-language services on Twitter and Facebook to further engage a growing fanbase in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking territories.

Brazil has the third biggest share of the Club’s global Facebook following and fans in the region will now get the chance to consume exclusive content in their native language.

The rapid growth in our Brazilian fanbase could be put down to the popularity of the Club’s Brazilian international forward, Lucas Moura, whose dramatic hat-trick against Ajax in May famously took us to a first UEFA Champions League Final in our history.

Club launches Portuguese-language social media channels

• New Twitter and Facebook channels will enable the Club to further engage with a growing fanbase in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking territories.
• Club’s Brazilian international Lucas Moura helps launch the new Portuguese-language channels on the day he signed a new contract until 2024.
• Club working with Samba Agency, a sports marketing agency with a strong track record in Latin America, to develop the Portuguese-language platforms.

The Club also has an extremely active Official Supporters’ Club in the region, Brazil Spurs – one of 200 passionate Spurs supporter groups that exist across the globe.

The new Portuguese-language platforms will be launched with the help of Lucas, who has recorded a video message for followers on the day he signed a new contract with the Club until 2024.

The platforms are being developed in partnership with Samba Agency – an international sports marketing agency with a proven track-record of delivering brand awareness in Latin America.

The Club has worked closely with Samba Agency for the past three years, overseeing the growth of our popular Spanish-language social media channels.

Fans will be able to follow the new Portuguese-language channels by visiting @spurs_pt on Twitter and TottenhamHotspur on Facebook for the latest exclusive news and video content to come out of the Club.
