Zac Efron and other faces in the crowd at Brighton game

Wed 24 April 2019, 16:01|Tottenham Hotspur

Hollywood superstar Zac Efron and NBA players John Collins and Larry Nance Jr were among the high-profile faces at our new stadium to see Tuesday night’s win over Brighton.

American actor Efron, famous for his roles in the High School Musical franchise and The Greatest Showman, jetted in to enjoy the atmosphere at our world-class new home and was greeted by first team players Moussa Sissoko and Kyle Walker-Peters as he took in the action during our 1-0 victory.

He was also presented with his own Spurs shirt.

Prior to kick-off, basketball stars Collins, of Atlanta Hawks, and Nance Jr, who plays for Cleveland Cavaliers, got the chance to sample the playing surface at close quarters as they went pitchside with Ledley King.

Our popular former defender and current Club Ambassador posed for a photo with the pair, who were presented with personalised Spurs shirts.

A special reunion also took place pitchside before the action got underway. Argentine World Cup winner Ricky Villa stepped out inside our new home for the first time alongside close friend and compatriot Ossie Ardiles as he begins his annual stay in the UK around this time of year.

In addition to Ricky being able to enjoy the sights and sounds of our wonderful new abode, the pair got the chance to catch up with former Spurs team-mate and current Brighton manager Chris Hughton, who made 398 appearances for us between 1979 and 1990, lifting two FA Cups and the UEFA Cup during a silverware-laden spell in the early-1980s.
