Skipp shortlisted for monthly award

Oliver Skipp has been nominated for the Premier League 2 September Player of the Month award.

The 18-year-old central midfielder was ever-present in the competition throughout last month and supplied an assist in our 2-0 home win over Manchester City on 14 September.

Skipp, who appeared for our first team in pre-season and was named on the bench in a senior competitive game for the first time in Wednesday’s defeat to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League at Wembley, is one of nine players on the shortlist, with the Premier League set to announce the winner on Friday 12 October.

Full-back Kyle Walker-Peters was our last player to collect the accolade back in December, 2015, in the Under-21 Premier League format.
