Remember, we kick-off at 6.55pm local time (5.55pm UK).

Supporters are reminded of the requirement to collect tickets in person in advance of the match. We urge fans to collect tickets as early as possible to avoid excessive queues closer to the match.

Supporter assistance

Following some disturbances on our previous visit to Eindhoven in 2008 and security advice received in relation to this fixture, supporters are reminded to be vigilant at all times and be aware of their personal safety.

Club officials and a team of stewards will again be travelling out to Eindhoven for the match. Staff will be on hand in the city and at the stadium but please be aware that they will not be able to assist in entering the stadium should you not have the correct documentation to collect your ticket or if you do not have your wristband. In emergency situations, please call the Travel Line, +44 7917 880445. The latest consular advice for supporters travelling to the Netherlands for this match can be found here.

Passports, visas and health insurance

In the Netherlands it is customary to carry an official ID document with you at all times and you will need your passport/official EU driving licence to collect your ticket and wristband. Photocopies will not be accepted.

- All supporters are reminded that they will need to have the correct documentation for this trip.
- British citizens do not need a visa to travel to the Netherlands, but your passport should be valid for the period of the outward and return journeys.
- You should obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) before travelling, even if you're only going for one night – it could save you a lot of money if you find yourself in difficulty.
- If your passport is stolen report the loss to the local police as soon as possible and obtain a copy of the police report. Please be aware that you cannot travel back to the UK without a valid travel document. You will need to visit the British Consulate in Amsterdam on Thursday for an Emergency Travel Document.
- The Emergency Travel Document is a temporary one-way travel document which will allow you to return to the UK or back to your country of residence. You will need to produce the following:

- A copy of the police report reporting the passport stolen (this is not required for a lost passport).
- One passport-size photograph. There is a photo shop located five minutes from the Consulate.
- A fee of £100* (payable by debit/credit card except Amex, or in cash by Euro).
- Any details you may have of your return travel arrangements.
- Authorisation from both parents if you are under 16.

*The cost in Euros varies according to the exchange rate – current exchange rate £1 = €1.12

Personal security

As in any other city beware of pickpockets at airports, railway stations (Amsterdam Centraal, Eindhoven), around Amsterdam city centre, especially around Dam Square and when using the Metro and trains. Eindhoven city centre may be busier than usual due to Dutch Design Week taking place in the city during our visit. Only carry what you need and leave spare cash and valuables in hotel safety deposits. Take a photocopy of the personal details pages of your passport and keep it in a safe place separate from your passport.

If travelling in a car, remember to always lock the vehicle and never leave valuables inside. Hire cars and foreign registered vehicles are more of a target.

Lost wallets

If you lose your wallet, please try to cancel your credit cards as soon as possible. British consular officials cannot give you money to help you return home. You can transfer money from relatives or friends in the UK using many of the reputable commercial money transfer agencies in the Netherlands. You can also use most major credit cards (and debit cards carrying the Maestro and EC logos) to obtain money from cash machines if you have your PIN. The British Consulate-General Amsterdam can provide you with telephone and internet facilities during opening hours.

If you are arrested

British consular officials will aim to contact you as soon as possible after being told about your arrest, so that they can assess how they can help. They cannot get you out of prison, represent you in court or pay your bills. If you wish to contact a consular official, please make this request clear to the local police authorities.

Please ensure you keep Club officials updated at any time you speak to the British Consulate, or have to make use of any of the emergency numbers.

Philips Stadion

The address for the Philips Stadion is Frederiklaan 10a, 5616 NH Eindhoven.

A modern stadium, it is located in the centre of Eindhoven, in exactly the same place where the sports park was located when the Philips Sport Vereniging was founded in 1913.

The Philips Stadion is one of the biggest stadia in the Netherlands, with stands that are very close to the playing surface. It is an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 35,000 and all seats are covered and heated.

Local transport and getting to the stadium

The city is easy to navigate on foot and Eindhoven station is a 10-minute direct walk from the stadium. Eindhoven station is served by frequent trains (every 15 minutes) from Amsterdam and priced at €20.60. From Eindhoven Airport, taxis and buses are available to transport you to the city centre – the average price for a taxi is €20 and the bus fare is €5.50. The city of Eindhoven have advised that there will be a dedicated fan area for Spurs supporters in the Markt area that will serve alcohol and have large screens available to show the match for any fans who may decide not to attend the stadium.

There is a dedicated entrance to the away section that is adjacent to the stadium railway station. This entrance is opposite turnstiles 35 and 36 at the stadium.

Minimise the risk

- Carry a note of the address of your hotel – it can help people give you directions and ensure that taxi drivers know where you want to go. English is widely spoken across the Netherlands.
- Keep the number of valuables you carry to a minimum - passport, a credit/debit card, your phone and some money - and ensure they are secured (not in your back pocket).
- Change money at a bank, hotel, or in exchange kiosks – NOT on the street.
- Carry the contact number for your travel insurer at all times.
- Carry the address and telephone number of the Consulate-General so you can call for help.
- Leave a copy of your passport and other important documents safe in your hotel in case you lose the originals.
- Do not carry weapons of any sort, you may get arrested.
- As in any other city beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers at airports, railway stations, around the town centre and when using public transport. Only carry what you need, leave spare cash and valuables in hotel safety deposits.

The temperature is expected to be average for the time of year, reaching a maximum of 16 degrees. Some rain may be experienced. The local time is one hour ahead of the UK, and the local currency is Euros. Supporters can also find additional security and travel information as well as areas fans are advised not to visit on the foreign office website via www.gov.uk and www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/netherlands

At Philips Stadion

Match Tickets
Match tickets and wristbands will only be issued to supporters on production of original passports or EU Driving Licences from the dedicated ticket collection booth located near turnstiles 35 and 36 at the stadium. Please carefully read our previous story relating to ticket collection and opening times here as no exceptions can be made to this policy. There is a safety net in front of the sector running from the roof to the balcony and the segregation lines have Perspex safety fencing installed. Supporters are advised that access to the seating areas involves a walk up 60 steps to reach the concourse area with further steps to the upper rows of the section. Access is gained via a secure gate opposite turnstiles 35 and 36.

Turnstiles open at approximately 5.30pm (CET). All supporters should be inside the stadium no later than 45 minutes before kick-off (6.55pm CET).

- You do not have a valid match ticket and/or identification.
- You have been prohibited from attending sports events in the past.
- You are visibly drunk or under the effect of other substances.

Any Tottenham Hotspur supporters found in the home areas of the stadium may face ejection. PSV officials will not relocate you to the visitors’ section of the ground.

- Display banners with logos of associations that encourage discrimination or violent racial conduct (ethnic, national or religious).
- Encourage violence during any event.
- Possess, throw or otherwise use dangerous materials or pyrotechnics.
- Climb fences and enter the pitch.

Spurs Respects

We are justly proud of our superb and loyal support at home and away. We all have a responsibility to act as ambassadors of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and act as considerate visitors to those who live and work in the cities and countries we visit. Please respect local customs and traditions by not placing flags or banners on local statues or monuments. We recognise that most supporters want to watch a football match and not to listen to abusive or indecent language from the stands. Discriminatory behaviour which includes, shouting, chanting or actions such as racist, sectarian, homophobic, sexist or anti-disability behaviour is unacceptable.

If you witness incidents like these please get in contact with a steward as soon as you can.

The use of pyrotechnics, flares and smoke bombs is also prohibited and anyone found in possession of or being associated to these items faces arrest.

The local police have advised that all supporters should arrive at the stadium by 6pm (CET), as the security checks at the entrance may take some time. Anyone not in the stadium by 7pm (CET) may not be allowed access.

Post-match

We have been advised that there will be a hold back for approximately 30 minutes at the end of the match, although this may be extended until the local police confirm it is safe to leave the stadium.

Please be patient and work with the PSV stewards and local police at this time.

PSV have kindly arranged a special post-match train to Amsterdam for Spurs supporters that will leave once the away sector is clear. The train will leave from the dedicated stadium station that is directly accessible from the away sector across the footbridge to the platform. Supporters NOT wishing to use the special rail service are advised to hold back and then exit over the footbridge and then left down the staircases for coaches or pedestrian access back to the city centre.

We have included a stadium map below which will assist with locating all the entrances on the day. You can also visit the PSV website for further information on the club.
