Football Development partnership with Epping Forest College

Mon 01 October 2018, 16:02|Tottenham Hotspur

The Club is pleased to announce a partnership with Epping Forest College to create an authentic Player Development Programme for students aged between 16 and 19 who are studying for their Sport Level 2 and 3 BTECs.

Our Global Football Development team will work alongside staff from Epping Forest College to deliver authentic methods developed within the Club’s Academy, designed to help students reach their full potential. As part of the programme, the coaches will monitor each player individually, giving them the opportunity to learn and develop their skills so they can play attacking football with the flair, fluidity and passion that are the hallmarks of the Club.

All training and matches will take place at Harlow Town Football Club where players will have access to a full size all-weather pitch, a technical training zone and tactics room.

Last Saturday, Club Ambassador Ledley King joined students and their parents for an open day at Harlow Town where the players got to try out the facility for the first time.

Phil Hall, Deputy Principle at Epping Forest College, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Tottenham Hotspur and are excited to bring their authentic coaching methods into the college. By having access to a top of the range facility such as Harlow Town Football Club, we will be able to run more regular training sessions and help to identify our next generation of footballers.”

By giving students access to our facilities for training and matches we hope it will help them reach their full potential.

Tim Sewell, Harlow Town Football Club

Tim Sewell, General Manger at Harlow Town Football Club, said: “For a semi-professional club to be associated with a professional football club such as Tottenham Hotspur is fantastic. By giving students access to our facilities for training and matches we hope it will help them reach their full potential and produce some young budding footballers.”
