Jan Vertonghen has returned to full training ahead of Saturday’s London derby with Chelsea.

The Belgian international defender has been sidelined since picking up a hamstring injury in our 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town at the end of September.

Fellow centre-back Davinson Sanchez won’t be available for the match at Wembley though – scans have confirmed he has a hamstring strain. He is hopeful of a return before the end of the calendar year.

Elsewhere, midfielder Mousa Dembele (ankle) continues to undergo rehabilitation at Aspetar in Qatar, Kieran Trippier (groin) continues rehab and is aiming to return to training before the end of the month while fellow full-back Danny Rose (groin) is entering the final stages of rehab ahead of a return to full training.

Remember, kick-off at Wembley is at 5.30pm and Wembley Stadium has a new restricted bag policy in place. We encourage all fans attending the fixture to read through this important information regarding the new policy before travelling.
