Dele's a game changer - Harry

Harry Kane says Dele Alli has that rare ability to change a game in a second.

Dele, 22, scored nine goals and was responsible for 10 assists - his highest assist tally yet - as we finished third in the Premier League in 2017-18.

Harry also scored a personal best 30 goals in the Premier League and 41 in all competitions as we qualified for the Champions League for the third-successive season.

The pair have played together for three seasons and statistics show that 14 of Dele's 26 assists have been for Harry.

During that time, every occasion Dele has scored in a Premier League match - 32 in total - we're unbeaten.

It's an almost telepathic relationship on the pitch that England now hope sparks again at the World Cup next month as Harry captains the squad with four Spurs team-mates im Russia - Dele, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier.

Harry pinpointed Dele's double in the 3-1 win at Chelsea in April to underline that knack of delivering at the key moments - not forgetting his two-goal salvo helped us topple holders Real Madrid by the same score in the Champions League in November.

Harry said: "Dele has scored goals, assisted goals and he’s a game changer.

"He has that ability where he can change a game in a second.

"You saw that earlier this season at Stamford Bridge with his great run, great touch and great finish to win us the game.

Of course, it wasn't all plain sailing as Dele had his ups and downs, admitting himself that he'd learned a lot in the season.

"I think sometimes people lose sight of his age," added Harry, who knows full well what it's like to be under that spotlight. "He just has to stay positive, keep doing what he’s doing year after year and be consistent - that’s most important."
