Global Coaching Team and AIA Cambodia help young footballers in Phnom Penh

In association with our Global Principal Partner, AIA, members of our Global Coaching Team have paid a visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to help nurture some of the local young footballing talent.

As part of AIA’s commitment to ensuring people live 'healthier, longer, better lives', AIA Cambodia invited our Asia-based coaches Anton Blackwood and Shaun Harris to a sporting extravaganza, where they engaged with over 850 participants in a variety of technical football sessions.

This included putting on a coaching clinic for underprivileged children in the area, leadership talks to AIA staff and partners and a visit to the AIA-Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) Youth League Final. The team also held a coach education workshop for local coaches from the ISF, which partnered with AIA Cambodia last year.

It represents the latest successful community project for our Global Coaching Team and AIA in Asia, whereby football is used as a vehicle to promote physical wellbeing, motivation and development.
