Tottenham Hotspur will run its world-class ‘International Player Development Programme’ and ‘Coach Education Programme’ in five European countries this summer.
The ‘Player Development Programme’ is designed for players aged 8-16 years and focuses on every aspect of the game using the same coaching methods delivered within the Club’s renowned Academy. The programme also aims to develop the players’ off-pitch values such as discipline and respect as well as their on-pitch techniques.
The ‘Coach Education Programme’ aims to teach local grassroots coaches how to create an environment that attracts, retains and develops players within the framework and philosophy of Tottenham Hotspur.
The location and dates of each course are as follows...
Monday 16 July-Friday 20 July - Saint Prex, Switzerland
Monday 6 August-Friday 10 August - Kolding, Denmark
Friday 10 August-Sunday 12 August - Bergen, Norway
Friday 17 August-Sunday 19 August - Sunndal, Norway
Monday 20 August-Friday 24 August - Drogheda, Ireland
Monday 20 August-Friday 24 August - Tallinn, Estonia
This European tour follows the recent success of the ‘International Player Development Programme’ and ‘Coach Education Programme’ the Club ran in Gothenburg, Sweden earlier this year where over 120 youngsters and 30 coaches were given a unique football experience courtesy of Tottenham Hotspur coaches.
Andy Rogers, Tottenham Hotspur Global Coaching Manager, said: “Our FA and UEFA-qualified coaches travel extensively around the globe to create learning environments for young players and coaches to develop and reach their potential. Delivering our programme across Europe is a brilliant opportunity for the Club to showcase its unique style to a new audience and develop players and coaches.”
