Under-18s deliver Christmas goods to local food banks

Thu 20 December 2018, 14:13|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-18 scholars today (Thursday 20 December) made a delivery on behalf of the Club to North Enfield Food Bank and Haringey Food Bank for those living in crisis within our community ahead of Christmas.

Club staff and players have been collecting goods for donation for the past month and today, our young players dropped off bags filled with non-perishable items including pasta, rice, tinned fruit and vegetables, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other toiletries to the two local sites.

The donation will be distributed to those most in need within our local community in time for Christmas.

Under-18s midfielder Dilan Markanday said: “It’s been great to take some time out of football, especially during the festive period, to give back to the community and donate food to those who are less fortunate.”

Defender Luis Binks said: “Donating food is the least we could do as a Club. It’s been an honour delivering boxes of food to those who need it most in our local community.”
