Mobile Alabama Spurs raise money for Movember

Sun 16 December 2018, 07:52|Tottenham Hotspur

Mobile Alabama Spurs, one of our Official Supporters’ Clubs in America, and their friends have raised over $41,000 for Movember, the annual fundraising event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer.

Each member of the club set up their own fundraising page and raised money by holding events at O’Daly’s Irish Pub, where Mobile Alabama Spurs gather to watch us play. To date, the group have held a gala dinner, a golf tournament and several raffles to raise funds for the charity.

George Denson White, Founder of Mobile Alabama Spurs said: “Ten years ago a close friend of our Supporters’ Club was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Since then, members of Mobile Alabama Spurs have got together to raise money for the charity and help to raise awareness of men’s health issues. We are delighted with our fundraising efforts and hope the money will make a difference.”

We currently have 190 Official Supporters' Clubs across the world, including South Korea, India, Singapore, Lebanon, Nigeria, Australia, Bermuda, South Africa, Brazil and USA.
