Information for fans travelling to Leicester

Fri 07 December 2018, 14:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Leicester City have put together a guide for visiting supporters - you can access the guide via the link below.

The guide includes details on directions to the King Power Stadium, a stadium map, information for supporters with disabilities and ground regulations.

Here are some key points...

Travelling to the King Power Stadium

By car
Exit the M1/M69 at Junction 21 (M1) and follow signs to City Centre (A5460). After three miles turn right into Upperton Road and follow down to Liberty Statue Island and turn right into Raw Dykes Road, which will take you down to the stadium.

Car parking
Leicester advise travelling fans that roads surrounding the stadium close at least 30 minutes before kick-off - in our case, 7.15pm. Parking is available in the club's Filbert Street car park, priced £17. These need to be pre-booked via 0344-815-5000 (option 1). Within the surrounding area, there are a number of car parking options, including parking on Freemans Common Business Park (LE2 7SQ). Many independent car parks in this area are run in aid of a Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, at a cost of £4/£5 per car, with all proceeds going to the charity.

More details on car parks...

Street parking is also available around the stadium vicinity - although supporters are advised to make note of parking restrictions which may apply on matchdays, including resident-only parking areas.

By train
Leicester Train Station is approximately 1.2 miles from the stadium. Leicester advise it is five minutes in the car or a 45-minute walk to the stadium.

By bus
There are a number of bus services from Leicester City Centre to the King Power Stadium.

King Power Stadium

Visiting supporters are accommodated in the corner of the North and East stands where they can access their area through turnstiles 40 to 49 (dependant on ticket allocation) up to 90 minutes before kick-off (6.15pm).

The accessible entrance is via turnstiles 42-43, next to Gate E17.

Access
The visitors' turnstiles will be clearly shown on the bottom of your match ticket. At the turnstile, place the ticket with the barcode first and facing upwards into the scanner. Once the green light shows, enter the stadium. If a red light shows please speak to the nearest steward.

Visiting supporters' pub
The designated pub for visiting supporters is The Counting House (LE2 7LH) on Freemans Park, just off Aylestone Road (also a 10-minute walk from King Power Stadium). Food is served within the pub.

Supporters with disabilities

The visitors section, accessible by wheelchair users from turnstiles 42-43, houses accessible toilets 25 metres from designated seating. All accessible toilets require RADAR keys, which can be obtained from stewards. All accessible toilets have a dropdown rail and an emergency alarm.

For full details on audio descriptive service, catering and more on accessible toilets, turn to page 11 of Leicester's guide for visiting supporters.
