Post-match views from ex-professionals, pundits and members of the media - Brian Kerr, former Republic of Ireland manager, gave us his thoughts after our 3-1 win against Fulham at Wembley.

Brian was on co-commentary duties for Today FM, a national radio station in Ireland.

- Took role as the Republic of Ireland's technical director in 1996

- Manager of the Faroe Islands, 2009-11

"I wouldn’t say it was the perfect performance from Spurs and Fulham gave them a good game. Spurs were in control in the first half and eventually got the breakthrough but Fulham had shown enough and created a couple of chances - Hugo Lloris had to make decent saves from Tom Cairney and Ryan Sessegnon - before Lucas Moura’s goal.

"Having made the breakthrough, I thought Spurs would go on and control the game but Fulham came out with a different attitude in the second half and got the equaliser. Spurs showed a lot of character from there. Mauricio Pochettino was able to make the changes and Mousa Dembele came on and changed the game, gave the team a bit of impetus.

It was a good win for Spurs, a great start, six points from the first two games, so lots of positives

"It took a bit of magic from Kieran Trippier to get Spurs back on top. That brought Fulham out a bit more, gaps started appearing and Harry Kane got his August goal. There were lots of positives from Tottenham’s point of view. Harry came into his game in the second half, took his goal beautifully. Dele Alli also came into it more in the second half.

"There are lot of reasons for Spurs to be happy, especially given they had 12 players at the World Cup and nine there until the end of the tournament. That was only a few weeks ago. It was a good win for Spurs, a great start, six points from the first two games, so lots of positives."
