Karen Hills is taking positives with the start of Spurs Ladies' season now less than a fortnight away.
The team put together another encouraging display against Women's Super League 1 (WSL 1) opposition Reading on Sunday.
The manager is pleased with how her new players are integrating and tuning in to the team's philosophy as she counts down to a trip to Palace in the WSL's Continental Tyres Cup competition on 19 August.
New signings Rianna Dean, Megan Wynne and Angela Addison were on target in Sunday's 6-3 loss at Cheshunt FC.
"Reading represented the third WSL 1 team we've played in pre-season and for us, it's all about the physicality and pace of the game and mixing it with international players at top-class teams," said Karen.
"We've come out with big positives from these games. Okay, we've conceded some goals, that was to be expected, but we've also scored plenty of goals, individual and team goals, and I've been delighted with the attitude of the players."
Spurs Ladies complete their pre-season schedule with a trip to Chichester City Ladies on Sunday (2pm).
They are scheduled to play two matches in the WSL CT Cup (Palace away, Brighton home) before the big kick-off in the newly-formed FA Women's Championship against London Bees on 9 September.
Karen added: "I have to say, overall, I've been really pleased with how it's gone so far in pre-season. We're ready to go."
