Hugo: "We are strong together"

Hugo Lloris praised the team’s character after the memorable 3-0 win against Manchester United.

Harry Kane’s header and Lucas Moura’s double in the second half secured our first victory at Old Trafford since January, 2014.

Skipper Hugo made a big save to deny Romelu Lukaku just after Harry’s opener and pointed to the ‘key moments’ as we made it three out of three in the Premier League.

“The team showed its character and how strong we are,” said Hugo. “We are used to working hard together for a few years now and in the key moments we responded well as a team.

“It’s not only the starting 11 but all the players on the bench as well. We are strong together and we were rewarded with this big win at Manchester United.

We asked Hugo to give an insight into the dressing room after such a victory.

“There was a lot of happiness,” he added. “It’s only one game in the season but it’s always a big challenge to come to Old Trafford and to face Man U.

“It’s an important win because last season we dropped many points against top teams away from home and this is a good signal, so we need to work on that and keep working hard.”
