Anton Walkes fired us ahead after eight minutes following a great break through the centre by Keanan Bennetts, but Matt Virtue unleashed an unstoppable drive from 30 yards to equalise on 32 minutes.
Both sides had chances after that with goalkeeper Tom Glover making some fine saves to keep Liverpool at bay, but there was to be no winning goal.
