Youngsters included in Under-21s squad tonight

Fri 31 October 2014, 11:02|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-21s return to action at Liverpool this evening (Friday, October 31) looking to build on Monday night’s 1-0 victory over Chelsea.

Young goalkeeper Tom Glover, who crucially saved a late penalty in our Under-18s’ 2-1 victory over Reading on Saturday, is in the Under-21s squad for the first time, as is attacking midfielder Ismail Azzaoui – fresh from representing Belgium in their three European Under-17 Championship qualifiers last week.

Ismail scored from the spot in the Red Devils’ 3-0 win over Azerbaijan and also featured in a 4-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina and a 1-0 loss to Switzerland.

Striker Shayon Harrison could also make his first league appearance for our Under-21s after featuring as a substitute in last week’s Development Squad friendly at Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Tonight’s match, kick-off 7pm, takes place at Langtree Park, St Helens. We’ll have live updates on Twitter @SpursOfficial as well as a match report here on tottenhamhotspur.com afterwards.

Squad: Glover, Miles, Akindayini, Azzaoui, Ball, Carter-Vickers, Harrison, Lesniak, McQueen, Miller, Ogilvie, Onomah, Pritchard, Sonupe, Winks.
