Young's heart at Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Luke Young hotly denies a report in Tuesday's Sun newspaper which suggests he will be seeking a move away from White Hart Lane at the end of the season if his first team chances do not increase.
An unattributed article quoted Young as saying: "If you don't get opportunities, you have to look elsewhere."
The England under-21 international told the official website: "I don't recall saying anything to anyone. I'm happy at the club and I've just got to bide my time. I've been out for a month so there is no reason to complain about my lack of chances because I've been injured.
"I'm just going to wait for my chance and hopefully when I get it I'm going to grab it with both hands. Try and make it very hard to take me back out."
Young hit the comeback trail on Tuesday evening, following a foot injury, in the reserves impressive win over Southampton and suffered no adverse reaction.
"I didn't feel too bad, my foot was alright and I just felt stiff due to the fact that I've only trained twice and that was my first game in about a month."
With a home game against Derby looming, Young is aiming for a return to the first team scene. "Obviously I always want to play, but I think I've got to up my fitness a bit first. We played well tonight, the lads needed it because we've not been performing in the league so we needed a win to kick-start the season really."
