Yeates back in business

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Reserve midfielder Mark Yeates is set to return to full training today after suffering a pre-season injury that required an operation.

The 18-year-old suffered a deep cut just above the ankle in the second-string's pre-season win over Crawley and, after surgery, was ordered to take a two-week rest before returning to Spurs Lodge to get on the comeback trail. He could feature as substitute in tonight's reserve encounter against Chelsea at Aldershot.

"At the start I thought it was just a little cut," reflected Mark. "The day after I went to the hospital and the doctor said there was a hole that needed a little stitching inside and it was going to take a few weeks to heal.

"I was back out on Thursday and I looking forward to getting back in really.

"Everything feels grand, I reckon I'll be back in proper training on Monday but, until then, I'm not allowed to do any contact stuff."

Mark added that the enforced break was a great frustration for him as his form in pre-season suggested that he would be hitting the ground running once the season was underway.

"It was, I thought pre-season was going really well for me. I've only missed two games though and I'm looking forward to getting back in and doing the business."
