XBid for player plates
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ten plates personally painted by our players and converted into wall clocks are to be auctioned with the proceeds going to the Princes Trust.
Rotary Watches supplied the club with 10 plates and sufficient paint and asked the players to paint one each on Friday. The plates have now been taken back to Rotary and changed into clocks. These will be auctioned at the Liverpool home match - our final one of the season.
Fans can bid for a plate before and on the day and all for a good cause - as Glenn Hoddle commented. "It is great that we can help the Princes Trust in such a way," agreed Glenn.
Players who painted plates include Teddy, Gus and Simon, while plates done by Glenn, Martin Chivers, Pat Jennings and John Gorman will also be up for auction. The organisers will also be bringing along the plates painted by Geri Halliwell and Liz Hurley.
The auction will take place in Whites after the Liverpool match on 27 April 2002.
