WTPS: Taylor for Spurs?
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
The Sun suggests that Peter Taylor could be on his way back to Spurs should his tenure as Leicester City manager come to an end.
A report suggests that Glenn has told Taylor that a coaching role awaits him at the Lane should he want it. Glenn, John Gorman and Taylor worked together in the
England set-up during Glenn's spell as national coach.
In the Daily Mail, Gus Poyet recalls his upset over discovering he was no longer wanted at Chelsea, a club he harboured ambitions of managing one day.
A meeting with managing director Colin Hutchison shattered those illusions and Gus is now fully converted to the Spurs cause - something that Glenn's playing
philosophy has speeded along.
"I settled in straight away and the manager played a big part in that," said Gus. "His plilosophy is so much like mine. He wants us to keep possession and
pass to create moves that are pleasing to watch as well as effective.
"I like that. It is positive thinkining and the way to build a successful team. I already feel part of things, though I wish I was out there playing an active
role instead of seeing out a three-match suspension."
The Mirror centres on the thoughts of Kasey Keller, reported here on Friday, on the tragic events that have unfolded in his homeland since Tuesday.
The Star takes a flippant angle on the fact that our team building expert John Syer has addressed the fact that Chelsea have not been overcome by Spurs since
"Glenn Hoddle has called in a shrink to help his players conquer their Chelsea jinx," is the Star's opening line. John Syer is a member of Glenn's coaching
staff and has been since the close-season.
