WTPS: Charlton build-up

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Teddy Sheringham, Gus Poyet and Glenn Hoddle are all quoted as Saturday's newspapers focus on our clash against Charlton.

The Sun carries a two-page special with Teddy talking about a possible move into management when his playing career is over.

Our super skipper talks to Pat Sheehan about his former managers and insists: "I've been in the game all my life so it will be a natural progression to make a switch to management."

The Sun and Mail also run a piece with Alan Curbishley suggesting that Teddy should be on the plane to next summer's World Cup finals. "When Sven comes to pick his forwards for the World Cup he will need someone with an old head who has been there and done it. And no-one has been there and done it more than Teddy Sheringham."

The Mirror label Gus Poyet as one of the toughest players in the Premiership. He tells Martin Rogers: "I am happy to put my head on the line. I play football at 100 per cent, that is the way I always do things."

Glenn Hoddle is quoted in the Star and Express with the general tone his delight at being fifth but that it meant nothing at this stage of the season.
