Wish List 4

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

More illustrious names you wish to see pull on the Spurs shirt — some realistic targets, some in the realms of fantasy. But you never know, one day…

A cheeky bid for Joe Cole seems a popular call, while some would like to see Michael Owen move south. Fairly strong support for a bid for Gareth Southgate, while Rivaldo and Zidane feature on a few lists.

Bjorn Cato Isaksen, Norway:
Lilian Thuram, Parma; Roberto Carlos, Real Madrid; John Carew, Valencia; Mendieta, Valencia; Roy Keane, Man U; Robbie Keane, Leeds.

Steven Abrahams, Mitcham: Pepe Guardiola, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Frank Lampard, Michael Gray, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Alessandro Del Piero.

Andy Henderson, Bideford: Players I'd like to see in: 1 Robbie Fowler, 2 Gareth Southgate, 3 Frank Lampard, 4 Gustavo Poyet, 5 Emmanuel Petit, 6 Javier Saviola.

Scott Bennett, Cornwall: Here are a few players that I think Spurs Should try to sign. If Sol Campbell leaves he is a fool but to replace him, Southgate from Villa. There are two midfielders that should be at Spurs, they are Frank Lampard and Nicky Butt - both very good players. Last season we were a bit shy in front of goal so the only other player at the club would have to be myself, I am young and people say that I am a good footballer on my day. I score goals and I make goals. That’s who I would have at Spurs. So Glenn Hoddle - get buying.

Johan van Oosten, Netherlands: Kevin Hofland, defender of PSV Eindhoven, Henrik Larsson (Celtic).

Richard Watson Darby: Andrei Shevchenko, Bixente Lizarazu, Zinedine Zidane, Pep Guardiola, Japp Stam, Cannavaro.

Samuel Bunker, South Ockenden: Joe Cole will make a difference.

James Clews, Northampton: I reckon that Gareth Southgate could be a good signing, as he has all the attributes of a good centre back. Frank Lampard and Trevor Sinclair could also be useful additions, we need some flair in midfield.

Mark Broughton, Emsworth: Southgate, Lampard, Joe Cole, Shevchenko.

John Armitage, Henfield: Shevchenko to partner Rebrov, Guardiola and Lampard brought into the midfield, buy Ziege to bolster it further.

Ben Goldsmith, WGC Herts: Buy: Dennis Irwin, Sebastian Deisler, Marcus Stewart, Laas Key, David Wetherall, Michael Bridges, Jamie Cureton, Daniel Perpetuini & Zlato Zahovic.

Steve Baker, Pelton: Effenberg, Lampard, Joe Cole.

Jason Alvares, Manor Park: 1.Make Sol Campbell stay at the lane. 2. Sign both Emmanuel Petit and Pep Guardiola. 3. Try to sign both Christian Ziege and Gustavo Poyet. 4. Try to sign Jon Venegoor of Hesslink - he said in the past he wants to come to Spurs. 5. Try to sign Steffan Effenberg. 6. Try to sign either Nicky Butt or Frank Lampard Jr. 7. Try to sign Clearence Seerdorf. 8. Sell Chris Armstrong and a few midfielders that we don't need.

Mr H: Guardiola, Lizarazu, Thuram, Shevchenko, Aimar.

Lee Fraser, Great Clacton: Seth Johnson, Oliver Bierhoff, Steffen Effenberg, Joe Cole - plus Ossie back as a coach under Glenn.

James Crane, Elstead: Pep Guardiola - I think him because he will add strength to the squad and will be a role model for the youngsters. Frank lampard may have been the most atrocious signing a few weeks back but after the sacking/quitting of his father and uncle it may not be quite so impossible. Dwight Yorke, the out of favour striker at Man U may see a move to Spurs a way to get his career back on track.
