Wish List 13
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Lee Bishop: I think Spurs need some young blood in their talented, but ageing strike force. Perhaps Bobby Zamora, a great talent and with the right manager (Glenn 'the great one' Hoddle) he could prove to be a real diamond in the rough. I also think that Rebrov needs a chance, he has performed well in reserve team matches and in the matches he has come on as a sub, but £11 millon pound strikers aren't bought to play in the reserves. Perhaps another defender in order to add to our current group of players (King, Perry and Richards) someone along the lines of Rob kovac or Christian Val (Barcelona).
Johan Andersson: I believe Spurs have a team that can finish top three. But we are still fragile to some injuries on key players. Therefore we should try to rotate more and especially give Sergei Rebrov more time. I can't believe Hoddle isn't playing him. Hopfully Iversen is fit soon and then we got at least four quality strikers. But you have to look at the age of Ferdinand and Sheringham. They won't be around that many years more. I think Iversen and Rebrov is the future for Tottenham. As for Sherwood and Freund I wouldn't mind selling them and give Davies and Leonardsen more time in the midfield. Maybe we need to buy a defender or midfielder too. Looking forward to see Stephen Carr injury free in the starting XI. What a team we got this year!
David Harvey: Get rid of Freund. Get Guardiola or Redknapp. Get Davies playing more often. Also sell Sherwood to Wolves and get Muslimovic off Udinese (too much playing championship manager).
Hamza Ahmed: I hope we start playing Rebrov for us again, he was quality last year in a poor side, we need Nicky Butt in the midfield or another strong holding player to replace Freund, and another winger, not Ginola, he's past it, a new talent from Europe or South America - another good defender also.
Christian Scramm: Please keep TEDDY SHERINGHAM! By now he is a Spurs legend and a unique player. He can be the wolf which will lead younger players through tough games and who will lead the team to victories. Please also keeo Gus Poyet (one of the best midfielders that is playing in England at the moment) and Darren Anderton. Maybe Spurs need one attacking midfielder who plays in the centre of the midfield. But NOT David Ginola. For example Simeone from Lazio would be interesting.
Luis Garcia: Ivan De La Pena would be a great signing for us. He has said in recent interviews that he would like to come to London. He will be on a free transfer soon. Please, please, please consider him.
Jonathan Dodd: Possible central midfielders: Beto, Nicky Butt, David Dunn, Vampeta - Vinny Samways?
Ian Berry: Firstly I think we need a poacher up front to partner Teddy. Fowler is the most natural and proven striker. Defence I think we could do with Ian Harte. Effenberg is a must as well. Please don't let him slip away. He would partner Poyet really well and Anderton could play on the right. Oh yeah, and did I mention Shevchenko would be a useful addition?
Grant Stone: We need that Brazilian who made Jaap Stam look pathetic. Edmundo! He is naughty.
Tom Fardon: Being a realist, I belive that Phillips is a must buy, the kind of player to compliment Teddy. I also think Davies should be given more of a go. No worries in defence with Richards and King but a stalwart midfielder is needed to provide cover like Matt Holland or someone like so, or even better.
Stephen King: If Steffen Effenburg beleives he is one on the top players in the world then he should come to the Premiereship and prove it. Our midfield would then be world class. Up front we should go for Robbie Fowler his pace would compliment Teddy's other skills and Ginola is going nowhere at Villa, I'm sure he jump at the chance to rejoin Spurs.
Andrew Goszka: Get Nicky Butt after United are knocked out of the Champions League. A reserve at Man U, but still plays for England. Also, we should give Rebrov a chance. Everyone labels him a "waste of money", but he has not been given a chance to prove himself.
Andrew Unitt: I think we should purchase another quality striker, a name like your Shevchenko's or your Fowler's to stick 20 odd goals away a season. We need one or two strikers soon because Teddy and Big Les aren't gonna be around forever you know. Rumours seen in paper this morning about Da le Pena coming next summer on a free transfer? Paper talk or truth? He's a world class player and I think he'd be good with the cockerel on his shirt. Also why haven't we put a bid in yet for Guardiola? He's doing nothing at Brescia apart from wasting his time. We should put in a bid for Effenburg for next summer also, any of these 3 would be good purchases for us. HANDS OFF LEDLEY!! Leeds can keep dreaming if they are going to try and prize our Ledley away from us. Him and Richards at the back, England partnership in the making. Keep the youngsters coming through though, it's good to see them develop and mature into quality players. Give them the chance they deserve when they look as if they are ready. Come on Spurs!!
Matt Solesbury: We don't need another left back; Wayne Bridge and Gareth Barry are no way as good as Ziege.
