Wins for Cameron, Milos in U20 World Cup

Cameron Carter-Vickers played 90 minutes as the USA booked their place in the knockout phase of the FIFA U20 World Cup.
It was good news for both Cameron and Milos Veljkovic, whose Serbia side recovered from defeat against Uruguay to beat Mali on Wednesday and keep their hopes alive of progressing into the last 16.
In fact, Serbia jumped from last to first in Group D with the 2-0 win against Mali in Dunedin thanks to goals from Sergej Milinkovic and Stanisa Mandic.
All four teams are now level on points in Group D. Serbia take on Mexico on Saturday while Mali face Uruguay. The top two teams progress to the last 16.
Back to Cameron and the USA cruised into the knockout stage with a convincing 4-0 win against tournament hosts New Zealand in Auckland. Defender Cameron had an early shot saved by Oliver Sail but the NZ goalkeeper could do little as a double from Rubio Rubin and goals from Emerson Hyndman and Paul Arriola saw the US home.
Cameron will now face Ukraine in the States' final group match on Friday.
