Robbie Keane is within touching distance of taking top goalscoring honours in the Premier League for 2007.

Robbie Keane is within touching distance of taking top goalscoring honours in the Premier League for 2007.

The in-form striker has scored 19 goals in 31 league matches in 2007 - starting with two goals against Bolton on February 25 and continuing through to Boxing Day, with another brace against Fulham.

His closest challenger is Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 17 goals in 30 matches.

Robbie will look to add to his tally against Reading at the Lane in the final weekend of matches of 2007 on Saturday while United travel to West Ham.

Blackburn's Benni McCarthy is currently third with 15 goals.
