Hod can plug the Ziege gap
The Sun says Glenn will bid for Spanish star Juanfran if he fails in his quest to bring Christian Ziege to the Lane. Liverpool are said to want a full £5.5m refund for the German - a figure reportedly higher than Glenn is wishing to pay for the 29-year-old.
For a similar figure, the reports says the boss could land Celta Vigo's Juanfran, rated the best left wing-back in Spain. The 24-year-old has also featured as a left-sided central defender and in midfield.
Reds reject £4.5m Ziege bid
Liverpool have rejected an increased bid for Ziege, reports the Mirror. The Anfield board turned down the offer and Ziege is thought to be on the verge of talks with manager Gerard Houllier this weekend.
Both the Mirror and Express carry a paragraph linking Glenn with a move for Boavista's defender Litos as a replacement for Sol. The 27-year-old central defender is said to have impressed scouts while helping his club to win their domestic title for the first tie.
Meanwhile, Marc Overmars says he is surprised Sol is considering joining Arsenal and urges him to test himself by moving abroad. The Dutch winger says he doesn't understand why so few English players take up the overseas challenge.

Sol's Highbury medical will sicken Spurs
The Express says that Sol is to undergo a medical at Highbury on Friday ahead of signing a five-year contract with our nearest rivals.
The report says the move could yet be hijacked, but Arsenal now appear to be clear favourites for Sol's signature.
Sol's Kop snub
The Express story is strenghened by a report in the Sun which says that Sol failed to show at a planned meeting with Liverpool to discuss a possible move. His agent Sky Andrew turned up alone and Liverpool are now reportedly convinced that Sol has no interest in a move to Anfield.
TUESDAY JUNE 12
Spurs lead Kach race
We are again linked with out-of-contract Moroccan midfielder Hassan Kachloul, who starred for Glenn at Southampton. The 28-year-old is reported to be in talks with Derby, with interest said to be strong from Celtic.
Derby boss Jim Smith commented: "He would give us something extra in midfield and we've been in contact with his representatives. But other clubs are interested and there is a long way to go on this one."
The Mirror and the other papers focus on Glenn's desire to retain the services of Darren Anderton. He feels that Darren staying on would be like signing a new player. For further details on this story, click here
