What a week
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Sunday's goal capped a perfect week for man of the moment Simon Davies.
Having scored a superb opener in Wales' best result of the last decade, a 2-1 Euro 2004 qualifying win against Italy in front of a packed Millennium Stadium on Wednesday, Simon popped up with the clinching goal in our 3-1 success against Bolton.
The midfield ace was involved in all three goals on Sunday and Glenn Hoddle later revealed that he wanted to take him off right at the end to receive the standing ovation he deserved.
But as the plaudits roll in, Simon keeps his feet on the ground.
He said: "Wednesday was special but I love playing for Tottenham as well. There is a lot of competition for places here and I know I have to do my very best to stay in the team.
"It's been a bit special this week and nice to get another goal for Tottenham and another win. I was delighted to play, get the win and score."
Simon added that we could take great credit after recovering from Bolton's equaliser against the run of play to go on and take the game by the scruff of the neck again.
He reflected: "We knew Bolton would come here, sit back and we would have to break them down.
"We also knew it would be a scrappy game until we broke them down and they'd have to come out and try to score.
"We did that, were disappointed to concede but showed great character to start again and score another two goals. We were delighted with that.
"We could have scored more as well, which is pleasing. We created the chances and we've pushed ourselves back up to third, so it's gone well for us in the end."
