'We've a special connection with fans' - Eric

Eric Dier is confident we can turn around our Europa League Round of 32 tie against KAA Gent - with the backing of our huge fanbase at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE.

Having attracted record attendances for our Champions League matches against Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen, we're expecting another bumper crowd at the national stadium for the second leg against the Belgium side next Thursday (February 23, 8.05pm).

This time, we find ourselves 1-0 down in the tie after a narrow defeat in Ghent on Thursday night.

"I'm sure the fans will get behind us again, just like they have all season," said Eric. "They’ve been brilliant and I feel like we’ve a special connection with them that we’ve bullt over the time the manager has been here.

"They see the effort we put in and we recognise the effort they put in and hopefully together we can pull through."

In a busy spell, we next head to Craven Cottage on Sunday for an FA Cup fifth round clash against Fulham (2pm).

"These games are what the FA Cup is all about," added Eric. "We'll have to make sure we're at our best - and we will be."
