Our Under-18s travel to West Ham United on Saturday aiming to continue their positive start to the campaign.
An opening day 4-2 victory against Norwich City was followed up with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Southampton last weekend.
Now, as the lads prepare for their third Barclays Under-18 Premier League outing of the new term, coach Kieran McKenna wants to see another good showing against our London rivals.
“It’s usually a good game when we go to West Ham,” he said. “We had a really tight game there last season and came out with a really good performance and a 1-0 win, so if we can get a similar quality of game again this time we’ll be happy.”
Defender Cameron Carter-Vickers and midfielder Cy Goddard are available for selection after returning from international duty, while Anton Walkes could feature after recovering from injury.
“We’ve had a really good training week with probably the highest numbers we’ve had for the last four or five weeks,” added Kieran. “It was a really tough, physical test last week but with a strong squad available for selection on Saturday I’d hope for a top performance individually and as a group.”
Kick-off is at 11am. We’ll bring you updates from the game on Twitter @SpursOfficial, along with a full match report here on tottenhamhotspur.com afterwards.
