West Brom v Spurs - team news

13 October 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Mauricio Pochettino will assess Mousa Dembele’s chances of facing West Brom on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s trip to The Hawthorns.

The manager also said there were ‘some issues’ after the international break that again would be assessed in in the squad’s final training session.

Mousa was injured against Sunderland on September 18 and missed Belgium’s World Cup qualifying matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Gibraltar over the international break.

Mauricio saw 18 of his regular first team squad go away on international duty.

“We need to assess a few players tomorrow,” said Mauricio, speaking after training on Thursday. “We have some issues. We have one day more and we hope it’s not a big, big problem for them to be available.

“We need to assess Mousa tomorrow, we will see, we’re not sure if he’ll be available.”

The news was positive on Harry Kane’s progress after his ankle injury sustained in the same game against Sunderland. “Harry is doing well, we’re really happy with how he’s doing but he’s not ready yet.”
