'We're very disappointed' - Ben on Stoke draw

A frustrated Ben Davies regretted our inability to see out the game after going two goals in front against Stoke City on Saturday.
But the Potters made changes and stormed back in the last 12 minutes to snatch a 2-2 draw, leading to widespread disappointment among players and fans alike at the final whistle.
Left-back Ben lamented our late collapse and said the players must perform for the full 90 minutes to avoid dropping further points in the coming matches.
“I can imagine how aggrieved the fans are because as players I know how disappointed we are that we let all our good work earlier in the game go to waste and ended up with a 2-2 draw,” said the Welsh international.
“It’s hard to pinpoint why things happened like they did. Perhaps when we’re not on top we need to be switched on enough to turn things around. Those are the moments where we have to perform and not lose focus.”
Reflecting on our performance in the first period and in particular his marauding run to the left byline and subsequent cross for Nacer to net our second goal, Ben highlighted how contributing to our attacking endeavours is not unusual for our defenders because of the way we play.
“It’s part and parcel of what you have to do as a modern full-back now,” he added.
“You’ve got to be solid defensively and be able to contribute going forward as well, so I was pleased that I managed to get an assist, although obviously we’re coming away feeling disappointed that we couldn’t take all three points.”
