'We're up for this one' - Eric on West Ham
21 November 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham’s away form has certainly caught the eye of Eric Dier.
The Hammers have beaten Arsenal, City and Liverpool on their travels so far this season.
“West Ham have won a lot of away games against big teams so we know it will be a tough game and that we’ll need to be at our best,” warned Eric.
Slaven Bilic’s team sit in sixth, level on points with us going into Sunday’s derby at the Lane (4pm).
But we’re in flying form, 11 matches unbeaten in the Premier League and return to action after the international break with a fine performance at Arsenal still fresh in the memory.
“Everyone enjoys the London derbies,” added Eric, as we prepare for the second of three-successive Capital contests with Chelsea to follow next weekend.
“We will all be up for it. We’ve worked hard this week and we’re determined to get the result we all want on Sunday.”

It’s been a huge week for Eric. Outstanding in a new holding midfield role that he only started playing for us in pre-season, he’s excelled in 16 appearances so far this term, rewarded with his first senior England call-up, his debut off the bench in Spain and a first start against France on Tuesday.
“It was a great experience to start my first England game at Wembley against France, you can’t ask for much more than that,” reflected Eric, who was delighted to line-up for England with Dele, also making his first start and marked with a stunning goal.
“We’ve enjoyed ourselves recently, playing game after game and it was great to play alongside him again,” smiled Eric. “Hopefully we’ll keep playing and keep performing.”
