Welsh winners become Turf Moor enemies

Friend becomes foe for Ben Davies this weekend as we come up against a Burnley side featuring his fellow Welsh international Sam Vokes.
It’s a quick change of circumstances for the duo, who find themselves with opposing clubs in the Premier League just a week after teaming up on the international stage – helping Wales inflict a 3-0 defeat on Israel in a huge boost to their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016.
Ahead of our return to domestic duty, left-back Ben is fully aware of the threats posed by his compatriot and his Turf Moor colleagues but is confident in our ability to take the points.
“I’ve played alongside Sam with Wales for a good couple of years now and it’s always strange coming up against somebody who’s normally a team-mate, but regardless of that it’s a tough place to go,” he said.
“Burnley are a well-organised team and they can make it very difficult for their opponents. They’ve taken points off some big teams this year, so we need to go there and make sure that we’re focused and be wary of the threats that they’ve got.”
Burnley’s position in the relegation zone means they’ll be determined to claim maximum points, but Ben insists we’re just as hungry for the victory.
“Everybody’s fighting for something,” he added. “Every team needs the points at this stage of the season and they want to win every game they can.
“It’s going to be no different on Sunday. We’re going there and we’ve got to be ready to match their challenge.”
