We'll need to be at our best - Andre

Andre Villas-Boas insists we’ll have to maintain our fine form to take maximum points at West Ham tonight.

We travel to Upton Park for an 8pm kick-off on a run of just one defeat in 13 matches in the Premier League with the squad’s confidence boosted further by a last-minute equaliser at Lyon on Thursday to secure a place in the last 16 of the Europa League.

West Ham have struggled of late - three defeats in the last four - but their home form is impressive with just three defeats in 13 so far this term.

“It’s a difficult game, different in nature (to Lyon), intense, full of emotion and passion, as a London derby is,” said Andre.

“The players have responded ever so well after European fixtures (won four in six) and that will serve as an inspiration to how we approach the game.

“They are a difficult team and it’s different football to what was played at Lyon. They are a strong team and we’ll have to be at our best to beat them, we recognise that.”
