'We will fight and fight as a team' - Hugo

Hugo Lloris has called for a ‘big response’ from the players when we host Arsenal this afternoon.

Our French international goalkeeper pulled no punches after Thursday night’s defeat to Benfica in the Europa League and was similarly disappointed by the result at Chelsea last weekend.

But the passionate stopper believes we’re capable of reversing our recent fortunes against our North London rivals today – just as long as we remain focussed and don’t forget what we’re capable of.

“We need to have a big response all together as a team in front of our fans. It’s very important,” said Hugo.

“The first thing is it’s a derby and we have to win it, and the second is we need the points to hope for something more than fifth place.

“We need to find momentum quickly in the game. We must try to make good decisions, make good passes and show good movement from the beginning of the game until the end.

“We will fight and fight as a team. It’s a big game and I hope we’re going to find our rhythm in front of the fans to put on a big performance.”
