'We stood up to the test' - Ben

Resilience was a key factor in Saturday’s win over Burnley, according to Ben Davies.
First half goals from Harry Kane and Erik Lamela saw us register a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane – our third win on the bounce in all competitions.
The result was far from a foregone conclusion, though, with visiting forward Danny Ings in particular forcing a handful of stops from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as he tried to join team-mate Ashley Barnes on the scoresheet.
But after seeing out the match and emerging with maximum points, left-back Ben was happy with the way we stood up to the visitors – especially in the second half.
“We were up against tough opposition playing a tough, physical game,” reflected the Welsh international. “In other games against teams like that we’ve found it a lot tougher, but today we stood up to the test.
“We didn’t always play pretty football but we definitely didn’t give Burnley too many opportunities to score, so that was a positive for us.”
Asked if he thought last week’s win at Swansea, coupled with Wednesday’s thumping victory over Newcastle, boosted the players’ confidence going into Saturday’s match, Ben added: “When the team is on a good run you’re going to try to keep the same way of playing.
“We’ve been playing quite well and today was another solid performance for us, so we’re all happy with the result.”
