'We need to be calm'
14 January 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
Mauricio Pochettino was in reflective mood after getting back to work at Hotspur Way on Thursday morning – 12 hours after our tough late loss to Leicester City.
And his message after that 1-0 defeat - just our third in 21 in the Premier League - was ‘stay calm’.
Speaking after training, Mauricio told us: “We feel disappointed after last night, it’s difficult to accept the result and this morning we analised the game and we played well, but at the end, we lost.
“We need to be calm. There are no worries.
“We created a lot of chances and deserved more but in football you need to be clinical, a little bit lucky as well and we weren’t last night.
Tough defeat to take. We're together as a squad & we'll be back at the Lane on Saturday to put it right. pic.twitter.com/m8scmDnbNa— Harry Kane (@HKane) January 13, 2016
“It’s important to keep calm and keep working hard.
“We’ve provided the players a good assessment from the game and realise maybe we need to fix some things.
“You can always improve and it’s good we have a game now against Sunderland on Saturday.”
Look out for more from Mauricio tomorrow…
