'We made the fans happy' - Son on Sunderland

Heung-Min Son has experienced football’s range of emotions in the space of eight days.
The South Korean star was on a crest of a wave after scoring twice in last weekend’s 4-0 win at Stoke but was quickly brought back down to earth when he was substituted at half-time as we lost out to Monaco on our return to Champions League action at Wembley.
That defeat hit hard but Sonny was back in the line-up and sensed a determination to put matters right as we prepared to play Sunderland on Sunday.
“I was disappointed against Monaco and wanted to play well against Sunderland,” he said.
“We are a young team and for many players, Monaco was a first match in the Champions League.
“Everyone wanted to win (against Sunderland), to run, to fight for every ball and I think we made the fans happy.”
Sonny had seven of our 31 attempts at goal as we dominated against Sunderland. “We spoke at half-time and said to keep calm because we’d get more chances,” he revealed. “In football, you get 90 minutes to score and in the end, Harry was there and we were all delighted.”
