'We knew we were still in the game' - Harry

Harry Kane revealed he always believed we’d reach Wembley – even after Sheffield United’s quick-fire double on Wednesday night.
Winning 1-0 in our Capital One Cup semi-final second leg through Christian Eriksen’s free-kick and two goals to the good overall, we appeared to be heading safely through to a showpiece final at the national stadium.
But when Che Adams rattled home two goals in as many minutes as the game entered its closing stages, the Blades were very much back in the contest and pushed for a winner.
Harry and Christian had other ideas, though, the England Under-21 front man playing the Danish international in to roll home a deft winner with extra time looming.
As the snow fell on Bramall Lane after the game, striker Harry was happy with the way we avoided succumbing to a complete turnaround against the League One side.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to reach Wembley – I don’t think words can describe how I feel,” said the 21-year-old. “It looked like the game was going our way and then all of a sudden it changed, but I think it shows the character of the side to then have to go again and get the goal that takes us to Wembley.
“There were a lot of emotions going around after their second goal but we knew we were still in the game – even if it went to extra time, we just had to try to get ourselves going again and we did that when Chris got a chance and put it away so we’re really happy.”
With a return to Premier League action at West Bromwich Albion up next on Saturday, Harry believes our aggregate win against the Blades will only boost our confidence going up to The Hawthorns.
“It’s going to be a tough game,” he added. “We’re going to enjoy this moment now but we know we’re back on it on Saturday. We’ve got an important game so we want to take this momentum and push on up the league.”
