'We have to adapt' - Mousa

14 January 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Mousa Dembele hopes home advantage will aid us in our quest to reach the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.

We take on Burnley this evening (Wednesday) at White Hart Lane in a Third Round replay, having battled out a 1-1 draw up in Lancashire last week.

While naturally keen to enjoy a run in the competition, midfield battler Mousa reckons the Clarets will be characteristically tough to beat again tonight.

But with the match taking place on home turf, the Belgian international is confident in our ability to get the job done.

“Everybody knows that this competition is very important, one of the most famous in the world. We want to do well in it and go as far as we can,” he said.

“Of course, it won’t be easy and we are still only at the first stage, but we have to be positive and aim high.

“The first game against Burnley was difficult for us. They are a tough team, well organised and work hard for each other as we saw in the two previous matches in the league and cup.

“We have to adapt a little to deal with their style, but now that we are at home we will be concentrating on our own performance, play our own style of football and have the belief that we can get the result we want to move on to the next round.”
