We had to put Fulham right - Crouchy

Peter Crouch said there was a real determination within the squad to get back to winning ways at Blackburn after Sunday’s FA Cup loss at Fulham.
Just three days after that 4-0 reverse at Craven Cottage, ‘Crouchy’ scored the only goal of the game in the fourth minute to secure a key victory at Ewood Park.
The result maintained our fifth place in the Premier League and means we’re still just three points adrift of Chelsea in fourth and five behind City in third with a game in hand.
“You sensed before the game that we all felt we had to put that Fulham result to bed,” said the striker after the game at Ewood Park.
“We had to be resilient, to dig in and defend well and I thought we fully deserved the three points.”
Crouchy produced a textbook striker’s header to win the game, rising high above Chris Samba to meet Rafa van der Vaart’s fine cross and head beyond Paul Robinson into the far corner.
“I was really pleased with the goal, that was perfect so early in the game,” he added.
“You know Rafa's got the quality to drop the ball on a sixpence and when the ball is delivered like that, I'm always confident that I'll get above the defender and score.
“I was delighted to see it fly in. From then on we had to defend well, Gomes has come into play and I thought we showed another side to our game.
“We limited them to not too many chances, Gomes made some key saves and as a whole, we defended magnificently.”
