We believe - Daws

Michael Dawson believes a clean sheet is key as we look for the win against FC Basel tonight that will take us into the semi-finals of the Europa League.

The quarter-final is poised at 2-2 after last week’s first leg at the Lane.

FC Basel impressed that night and forged into a 2-0 lead before goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Gylfi Sigurdsson brought us back into the tie.

"It’s a game we’ve got to win and we believe we can do that anywhere," said Michael.

"Obviously, the away goals have made a difference for them but the basics are that we’ve got to go and win the match. We have to concentrate on that.

"The away leg against Inter Milan was disappointing but if we can get back to keeping a clean sheet, that’s the start and would be massive for us, and then we believe we can score goals anywhere.

"We’ve had some tough games in the Europa League but we’ve proved we can score. Lyon away, for example, when Mousa scored in the last minute. Even against Inter, Ade managed to get the vital goal. It’s amazing how it can change in these games."
