'We always believed in him' - Mauricio praises Harry

Mauricio Pochettino believes Harry Kane will reap the benefits of his lean spell in front of goal.
The young striker, who banged in 31 goals last term, went into Sunday’s clash at Bournemouth with one goal in nine in the Premier League but promptly bagged a hat-trick in our resounding 5-1 victory.
Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela joined Harry on the scoresheet as we recovered from going 1-0 down inside a minute at the Vitality Stadium.
“I’m very pleased for Harry,” said Mauricio. “It was important for us, for the team and for him. We always believed in him and it’s no surprise for me.
“In football, we have to understand that there will always be periods like the period Harry has had. For him, it’s a great opportunity to learn about the good and bad things in football.
“He can realise who is behind him, who gives him energy and who believes in him. You learn a lot in the bad moments. He will become a much better player for it.”
The win stretched our unbeaten run to nine matches in the Premier League.
“It’s going well but you know in football things can change quickly and with that in mind, we have to keep working hard and focus on every game,” added Mauricio.
“Now we have a week to prepare for Villa and then the schedule is difficult, Villa in the Premier League on Monday, Anderlecht on Thursday and then Arsenal. But we are strong and our mentality is strong.”
