WCQ round-up - perfect 10 for Spurs lads

Hugo Lloris and France had the ideal night as all 10 of our players on World Cup qualifying duty tasted victory on Friday night.

Hugo captained France again and was forced into a couple of saves with the score at 0-0 before his team ran out 3-1 winners against Georgia in Paris.

That meant France leapfrogged Spain at the top of European qualifying Group I as the reigning World and European champions were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by Finland in Madrid.

France now have the edge - having also drawn in Spain - as the teams now meet in what could be the decider back at the Stade de France on Tuesday.

Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen both completed 90 minutes as Belgium beat Macedonia 2-0 in Skopje to stay top of Group A. They meet the same team in Brussels on Tuesday.

Gareth Bale was withdrawn at half-time as Wales came from 1-0 down to beat Scotland 2-1 at Hampden Park. The result lifts Wales up to third in Group A and they now face joint-leaders Croatia in Swansea on Tuesday.

Clint Dempsey hit the winner for USA against Costa Rica, Gylfi Sigurdsson struck twice as Iceland toppled Slovenia while Jermain Defoe did the same in England's 8-0 win in San Marino.

Kyle Walker - who set-up JD's second - and Scott Parker also featured for England, with Steven Caulker, an unused substitute in San Marino, completing the 10 Spurs players on duty.

Clint now faces Mexico on Tuesday while England take on group leaders Montenegro. Iceland are without a game.

Hugo makes a fine save for France vs Georgia
